Valentinsquilt Anleitungspaket / Valentine Quilt Pattern Bundle

Gerade erst ist Weihnachten vorbei und ich denke schon wieder an den nächsten schönen Anlaß, um meine Liebsten mit einem selbstgenähten Quilt zu erfreuen. Verschenkst du deine Quilts auch so gerne?

Falls du bereits meine Anleitungen für die Fahrzeug, Tier, Weihnachts und Piraten Blöcke kennst, wirst du feststellen, dass ich auch bei diesem Quilt den Blockgrößen 9 und 18 Inch treu geblieben bin. Du kannst natürlich alle Blöcke miteinander kombinieren, da sie alle die gleiche Größe haben.

Der Valentinsquilt besteht aus insgesamt 32 Blöcken, die du nach Belieben und Stimmung kombinieren kannst. Für frisch Verliebte bieten sich beispielsweise das große Herz, der Liebesbrief oder der Herzluftballon an. Verlobte könnten den Ring, den Kußmund oder das Geschenk wählen, während Ehepaare die verbundenen Herzen, den Schlüssel zum Glück oder den Liebesheißluftballon in Betracht ziehen könnten. Was die Valentinsquilt Anleitungen beinhalten:

• Zuschnitt und Stoffbedarf pro Block
• Schritt für Schritt Anleitung
• Zuschnitt und Stoffbedarf (nur Sashing, Border, Backing) und Diagramm für 2 Quilt-Zusammenstellungen pro Blockgröße.

What the Valentine Quilt pattern bundle all includes:

Valentinsquilt Top Design / Valentine Quilt Assembly

Anders als bei meinem ersten Valentinsquilt, habe ich dieses mal für das Valentinsquilt Anleitungspaket einen blauen Hintergrund mit weißen Punkten gewählt und ausschließlich Stoffe mit Print verwendet. So hat jeder Block seinen ganz eigenen Look und doch passen alle Blöcke durch die rot, pink, rosa Farbwelt zusammen.
Bei diesem Quilt Assembly wollte ich alle 32 Valentinsquilt Blöcke unterbringen, um zu zeigen, was man mit dem Valentinsquilt Anleitungspaket machen kann. Durch den Zusatz von 4 Buchstaben Blöcken, die das Wort „l o v e“ formen, komme ich auf eine Aufteilung von 4 x 9 Blöcken, was eine tolle Quiltgröße von 51 1/2” x 87 1/2” ergibt. Und wie gesagt, die 4 Buchstaben Blöcke bekommst Du beim Valentinsquilt Anleitungspaket umsonst dazu.

Unlike my first Valentine’s quilt, this time, for the Valentine’s Quilt Pattern Bundle, I opted for a blue background with white dots and exclusively used printed fabrics. This choice gives each block its unique look, yet all the blocks come together harmoniously due to the red, pink, and rose color palette.

For this quilt assembly, I aimed to incorporate all 32 Valentine’s quilt blocks to showcase the possibilities with the Valentine’s Quilt Pattern Bundle. By adding 4-letter blocks that spell out the word „l o v e,“ I achieved a layout of 4 x 9 blocks, resulting in a fantastic quilt size of 51 1/2” x 87 1/2”. Das Sashing / The Sashing

Das Sashing ist für diesen Quilt mit der 4 x 9 Block Aufteilung denkbar einfach. Hier habe ich jeweils zwischen die Blöcke von oben nach unten kein Sashing gesetzt, sondern die Blöcke direkt aneinandergenäht. Zwischen den Blockspalten habe ich breite Streifen von 3 inch gesetzt, um dem Quilt etwas mehr Lust zu geben. Die „l o v e“ Blöcke habe ich versetzt auf die Spalten aufgeteilt.

The sashing for this quilt with the 4 x 9 block layout is remarkably straightforward. I chose not to use sashing between the blocks from top to bottom; instead, I sewed the blocks directly together. I inserted wide strips of 3 inches between the columns to add a bit more visual interest to the quilt. The „l o v e“ blocks were staggered and distributed across the columns.

Immer mit dabei ist mein kleiner Stecknadelhelfer, den mir meine Tochter mal genäht hat.

Mein fertiges Valentinstag Quilttop / My finished Valentine Quilttop

Und so schnell ist mein Quilttop auch schon fertig! Ok, etwas geflunkert, wie du siehst habe ich das Quilttop bereits im Sommer genäht, was sich ja durch den strahlenden Sonnenschein und die grüne Wiese nicht verbergen läßt. Also so schnell geht es bei mir auch immer nicht, wie es den Anschein erweckt… ich brauche auch einige Zeit, um all die Blöcke zuzuschneiden, zusammenzunähen und dann das Quilttop fertigzustellen.

And just like that, my quilt top is already finished! Well, I may have fibbed a bit; as you can see, I actually sewed the quilt top in the summer, which is evident from the radiant sunshine and green grass. So, it’s not as quick as it may seem… I also need some time to cut all the blocks, sew them together, and then complete the quilt top.

Das Quilting / The Quilting

Und, ja, es ist tatsächlich nochmal das gleiche Quiltmuster wie bei meinem Valentinsquilt mit weißen Hintergrund geworden. Ein Stich mit kleinen Bögen, mein neues Lieblingsquiltmuster. Gequiltet habe ich jeweils direkt auf den Blocknähten und dann mit einem Abstand von 2 1/4 inch, damit immer 3 Quiltlinien in einen 9 inch Block passen.

Yes, indeed, it’s the same quilt pattern as my Valentine’s quilt with a white background. A stitch with small arcs, my new favorite quilt pattern. I quilted directly on the block seams and then at a distance of 2 1/4 inches, ensuring that three quilt lines fit into a 9-inch block.

Der Backingstoff ist ein hellrosa Blumenstoff geworden, der Stoff für das Binding ein Senfgelb, der sich von dem blauen Hintergrundstoff und dem Backingstoff gut absetzt.

I chose a light pink floral fabric for the backing, and for the binding, I went with a mustard yellow. It contrasts well with the blue background fabric and the backing.
