Adventliche Reise durch die festliche Zeit! Auch wenn es draußen noch die falsche Jahreszeit ist, kann man gar nicht früh genug anfangen. Heute möchte ich dir meine neueste Quilt-Anleitung vorstellen – den Weihnachtsquilt. Wenn du es kaum erwarten kannst und gleich mit dem Nähen loslegen möchtest, findest du das Muster in meinem Pattern Shop.

Falls du bereits meine Anleitungen für Fahrzeug, Tier und Piraten Blöcke kennst, wirst du feststellen, dass ich auch bei diesem Quilt den Blockgrößen 9 und 18 Inch treu geblieben bin. Du kannst natürlich alle Blöcke miteinander kombinieren, da sie alle die gleiche Größe haben – so sind Deiner Kreativität keine Grenzen gesetzt. Adventurous Journey through the Festive Season! Even though it might be the wrong time of the year outside, you can never start too early. Today, I want to introduce you to my latest quilt pattern – the Christmas Quilt. If you can’t wait and want to start sewing right away, you can find the pattern in my Pattern Shop.

If you’re already familiar with my patterns for Vehicle, Animal and Pirate Blocks, you’ll notice that I’ve stayed true to the block sizes of 9 and 18 inches for this quilt as well. You can, of course, combine all the blocks together since they all have the same size – the sky’s the limit for your creativity. Let’s embark on an adventurous journey through the festive season together!

Die Weihnachtsquilt Blöcke / The Christmas Quilt blocks

Besinnlich geht es jetzt weiter, denn ich werde dir nun jeden Weihnachtsblock einzeln vorstellen. Jeder Block hat seinen eigenen festlichen Charme. Thoughtfully, we’re now moving forward, as I will introduce each Christmas block to you individually. Each block has its own festive charm. Der Weihnachtsquilt besteht aus insgesamt 43 Blöcken, die du nach Belieben und Stimmung zusammenstellen kannst. Wenn du beispielsweise einen verspielteren Look bevorzugst und den Quilt für ein Baby gestaltest, könntest du den Schneemann, den Rentier und den Weihnachtsbaum wählen. Wenn du jedoch eine kleine Weihnachtsprinzessin oder einen kleinen Weihnachtsprinzen zu Hause hast, könntest du dich vielleicht für die Zuckerstange oder den Weihnachtsstern entscheiden. Oder möchtest du die Auswahl der Motive lieber der kleinen Weihnachtsfee und dem kleinen Weihnachtsmann selber überlassen? Lass deiner Kreativität freien Lauf!

The Christmas quilt consists of a total of 43 blocks that you can put together according to your preferences and mood. For instance, if you prefer a more playful look and are creating the quilt for a baby, you could choose the snowman, the reindeer, and the Christmas tree. However, if you have a little Christmas princess or a little Christmas prince at home, you might opt for the candy cane or the Christmas star. Or perhaps you’d like to let the little Christmas fairy and the little Christmas elf make the motif choices themselves? Let your creativity run wild!

Weihnachtsquilt Anleitungen / Christmas Quilt Pattern

Was die Weihnachtsquilt Anleitungen beinhalten:

• Jeder Block kommt in den Größen 9″ und 18″ (unvernähte Blockgröße 9 1/2 and 18 1/2).
• Zuschnitt und Stoffbedarf pro Block
• Schritt für Schritt Anleitung
• Zuschnitt und Stoffbedarf (nur Sashing, Border, Backing) und Diagramm für 2 Quilt-Zusammenstellungen pro Blockgröße.

What the Christmas Quilt pattern bundle all includes:

• Each block comes in sizes 9″ and 18„ inches„ (unfinsihed block size 9 1/2 and 18 1/2).
• Cutting and fabric requirements per block
• Step by step instructions.
• Cutting and fabric requirements (sashing, border, backing only) and diagram for 2 quilt assemblies per block size.

Weihnachtsquilt Top Design / Christmas Quilt Assembly

Wie immer habe ich für mein erstes Weihnachtsquilttop einen weißen Hintergrund gewählt, so kommen die einzelnen Figuren am besten zur Geltung, was ich für die vielen Photos, die ich während der Entstehung mache, natürlich gut gebrauchen kann. Ich habe versucht alle Blöcke in meinen Quilt Assembly unterzubringen und habe mich daher für die 6 x 7 Block Variante mit den 9 inch großen Blöcken entscheiden.

As always, I’ve chosen a white background for my first Christmas quilt top. This allows the individual figures to stand out best, which is something I can certainly make good use of for the many photos I take during the process. I’ve tried to incorporate all the blocks into my quilt assembly, and therefore, I’ve decided on the 6 x 7 block variation with 9-inch-sized blocks.

Das Sashing / The Sashing

Mit der Weihnachtskugel in meinen Händen begebe ich mich auf die Suche nach dem mit einem funkelnden Stern markierten Weihnachtsbaum. Und was könnte besser zu diesem festlichen Abenteuer passen als viele kleine Sterne, die meine Sashing-Blöcke schmücken?

Frohe Botschaft… Das Sashing wurde erfolgreich hinzugefügt, und mein Weihnachtsquilt-Top erstrahlt nun in seiner vollen Pracht. Ich bin begeistert von der Anordnung der Weihnachtsblöcke und kann es kaum erwarten, den perfekten Stoff für die Rückseite meines Quilts auszuwählen. Die Suche nach dem passenden Backing kann beginnen!

Good tidings… The sashing has been successfully added, and my Christmas quilt top now shines in all its glory. I’m thrilled with the arrangement of the Christmas blocks and can’t wait to choose the perfect fabric for the back of my quilt. The search for the suitable backing can begin!

Und hier muß es mit dem ersten Weihnachtsquilt erstmal enden, wollte Euch aber die neuen Anleitungen nicht so lange vorenthalten. Ich warte noch auf den Stoff für mein Backing und Binding und dann kann es weitergehen.
Aber natürlich habe ich noch einen weiteren Weihnachtsquilts genäht und hatte auch für dieses Quilt Pattern wahnsinnig tolle Pattern Tester. Diese und den Weihnachtsquilt mit blauem Hintergrund stelle ich Dir in einem weiteren Blog Beitrag vor. Also bleibt dran!

And here, for now, we must conclude with the first Christmas quilt, but I didn’t want to keep you waiting for the new patterns. I’m still waiting for the fabric for my backing and binding, and then I can continue.
But of course, I’ve also made another Christmas quilt, and I had incredibly wonderful pattern testers for this quilt pattern too. I will present these and the Christmas quilt with a blue background in another blog post. So stay tuned!

My lovely pattern testers for the Pirate Quilt

Ein Weihnachtsquilt ohne die wunderbaren Testnäherinnen ist undenkbar! Während des Testnähens sind so viele fantastische Blöcke und Quilts entstanden, die ich dir unbedingt zeigen möchte. Ich bin unglaublich dankbar dafür, dass ich diese atemberaubend schönen Werke sehen darf und für die immense Unterstützung, die ich bei der Erstellung der Anleitungen erhalten habe. A Christmas quilt without the wonderful pattern testers is unthinkable! During the testing phase, so many fantastic blocks and quilts have been created, and I can’t wait to show them to you. I am incredibly grateful for being able to see these breathtakingly beautiful works and for the immense support I received during the creation of the instructions.
